About Me |Adrian Rowe | AR Builders

I was born in Redruth, lived in Truro and have been in the construction industry for over 25 years. After leaving school at 16 to work in mechanical engineering for Vauxhall and then onto being a sales rep for Vospers.

After that I began labouring for E Thomas in Falmouth, then on to several sites across Cornwall, learning all the way.

I became a ground-worker, which involved all aspects of laying out footings/foundations, drainage, tarmac work etc. (roads, drives and footpaths). Fitting services to foundations (electric ducting, BT ducting, water and radon gas ducting work) Laying drains and sewer pipes.

I also worked as a multi skilled builder for several building contractors in and around Cornwall and as far as Bristol.

As well as Insurance companies, my commercial clients include Argos, ATS, Boots, Brittannia Building Society, British Heart Foundation, Focus DIY, HMV,John Lewis Chemist,Moss Chemist,Oxfam, Poundland and others.

The insurance company work comprised of renovating fire, flood and subsidence damaged properties.

Experienced in kitchen fitting and all aspects of carpentry, from timber frame walls, to roof trusses, to fitting door hinges to fitting skirting boards.

I have all my UPVC windows and doors supplied to me from my well known friendly Redruth company,

1st Call Windows, who I have known for many years and can supply these at a very competitive price.

The roofing service that I offer is either flat roof or pitch roof (slate or tile)

The flat roof either felt (10 year guarantee) or fibre-glass (25 year guarantee) I have all roofing materials supplied to me by my other well known friendly company Westcountry Slate Supplies Ltd.

I have experience in building granite coins in front of cottages. Mainly building block work on front walls of extensions, then laying another wall in front of that but in Granite. This then makes the total front of the property look as if the whole of the wall was originally Granite fronted.

Granite is a wonderful material to work with. Using “feathers and wedges” to split Granite coins and / or lintels and hearing it crack when it splits right where you want it to is well satisfying.

It can be renewed by cleaning the surface with a needle gun or sand blasting, but the latter is quite messy.

I offer an honest and friendly service to all my customers. Check out my testimonials page to see a selection of references received.

But please check my photos to see my standard of work, which i class is of a high quality.

Please also feel free to view my Facebook page and leave any questions or feedback.

Thank you for viewing my site.
